the frickin' moon
so frustrated la
i've never been so freaking frustrated before.
7.30 went to school for dance
the rest had to get their hair done up for the full dress rehearsal
having nothing to do, i went out to the stadium to play bball..
apparently adeline found a bball lying around so we started playing
the ball had not enough air though.. but fortunately, it was a rubber ball.. bouncier
manx..was so happy la
today was really on form..kept chopping yeah!
never been so accurate for quite some time le.
super tyco today.
well, anyway, slightly after 8, i went back to the air-con hall (it's rather ironic that they call it air con hall cause the air-con is NEVER used)
then when the people all settled down, i went to work on the moon which i was asigned to make.
did i mention that this was the slackest job one could get in the syf? well....
at least i didn't have to wear any costume or get my hair done up in a bun or anything.
so yeah, i worked on the moon cause jazreel told me to start today.
i had to go to the dnt workshop to get the left over pipe which ching hui wanted to be attatchedto the moon. by the way, the moon was originally a piece of styrofoam board wrapped in alu-foil. dunno who did it. then ching hui reasigned and i got the job..
she wanted me to put what metal wire gauze as one layer, then put another piece of styro board then rewrapp in in foil again to make the whole structure stable la.
but i told her that harder and stiffer board used for insulation of roofs actually existed so i went to get that. from some construction company. then aft cutting out the shape and sticking the pieces together to form the moon shape, ching hui told me that it was good. (sounds like a part of genesis huh?) was real happy la.. cause only with 2 other ppl helping me did we manage to finish it in like..2 hours?
so anyway, today,
jaz told me to start completing the moon
it took me the whole morning.. like.. 4 hours or so?
so i went to get the pipe, then went all the way down to the market to get the bamboo pole and foil
went back to school, ran to the dnt workshop to get the pipe drilled then went back to the aircon hall. i twisted and turned the wire, in this hole and out the other.. tell you ah.. fingers were really sore la.. the last time i worked with wire was last year when i made this heartshaped structure.. really nice actually. anyway, that was to prevent the pole from going right through the pipe.
then i stuck on the wire mesh on both sides of the moon, fitting a wire through so that the pressure on the wire wouldn't be so great. k la.. to summarize it all, i had to cut, bend, twist and force peices of wires throuhgh holes till my fingers were really sore la. then the taping as well..used loads of masking tape. then i asked for help to get some wrappiing paper for the pole.. 3/4 of the sec ones volunteerd so they all left school to get the wrapping pper. so much work la.. had to run to and from the workshop to borrow plyers and drills.
finally, the pipe was SUPER secure to the board. nothing can tear them apart.
finally, the pole was all wrapped up.
finally the holes were drilled in the pole to stick wire through the pole to prevent too much rotation of the moon wehn it's being held 4 meters alove the ground on the pole on the ladder.
then know what...
i was told to redo the whole thing becuse it was not in the slightly tilted angle which was nice.
what's wrong with a moon that doesn't tilt the way you want it to? nobody has perfect cresents every single night. it is also natural for the moon to be at my angle right? huh?
ok i'm being selfish again. guess it's realyy my fault that the moon's like this and i really should change it.
but you can't juz tell me to redo the whole thing like that!
what if the moon is not stable anymore?
how many times can a board be pierced with two little holes so close to each other? i can't help it if the pipe is that narrow my dears. our fund is sad enough at it's current condition. we'll have to get new materials for the new moon. i'm not trying to act poor or anything but do you guys know how much we'd be wasting to redo the whole thing? do you know that the annoying sun has been burning enough trees for us? burn. not cut. at least if the trees were just chopped off, we could use them to make paper. but hello? what's gonna happen to our earth?
gotta go for the rescue mission now.
not gonna talk about this anymore.
it's like..
do you know how many people out there are killing the earth and robbing mother nature of what was meant to be given us in portions?
hello?
how much are we wasting man!
go think about it okay?
