vacation bible camp

just broke camp yesterday.
super fun la..
it rawked more than jyc..
haha..
well on the first day, we got settled in and stuff..
john leo caines and i were double As of Nahum.
haha.. weird name la.. dunno how to pronounce also.
there was this really really cute little boy in our group..
my darling.. haha.. danyon's really tiny.. wanted to carry him for the fun shot during photo taking but he didn't let me.. haha.. so sad.. but still.
i'll post the photos at a later date.. hopefully before i leave for oz.
the station games were relatively fun.
i must say the kids should have enjoyed it alot..
haha.. well i did..
ahh.. but i got chased around with water bombs by dan ryan and jotham.
how fast can i run on soapy wet floor rite.. so haiz..
haha.. i managed to get josh also.. haha.. but after that, he and jake attacked my with coloured bombs la.. so in the end, i looked like a paddlepop.
oh well.. that's good rite.. cause paddlepop was my favourite ice-cream when i was.. 4?
lol.. it was really great fun.. helped mark carry buckets of water lengthwise the carpark.. poor boy.. was doing it all by himself.. haha.. then jlc came to help too.
actually mark asked me a really weird question- why do girls have to scream?
haha.. weird rite??
i asked john that.. it's a natural reaction.
same answer as what i gave mark in response.. but mark says that guys shout.
haha.. whatever la!
the meals were great.. much better than what i have at home really.

that night, the groupie met together for some apparent reason and we decided what to do for the next day's 5bx.
someone apparently volunteered us.. so no choice.. haha..
when we were done, jo and i returned to our room to sleep..
there was this girl.. gabrielle who suddenly started crying cause she was homesick..
so jo and i had to go pat her to sleep and let her call her mummy..
quite sweet la.. i never missed home.. sadly.
hahahaha.

day 2.
woke up, did devotion with the kids, went down to lead 5 bx together with 3 other guys.
it was okae la.. but sigh.. it's not like pe where we get to do interesting stuff see.. so.. yeah.. 5bx was boring.
haha.
we had outdoor games.. it started off with us having to crack the code on some padlock to get retrieve a map.
got an egg from bernie that we were supposed to cook (some way or another) in exchange for the unwanted lock.
then we went round the area around church.. bedok corner and all..
found lots of blue ribbons and balloons that gave us points then after some time under the blazing hot sun, this little girl in my group suddenly sat down and refused to budge when we came to the shade of the bus stop.
john and i stuntio la..
we were running out of time already so i had to coax her to come with us.. so in the end i had to piggy back her.. not light okae.. p4 girl.
then after that uncle stephen saw me so xing ku then took over..
but then..
this other little girl had began to have blisters on both feet.. so had to piggy back her also lo..
quite cool la..
had lots of training on this from little sarah how would just suddenly pounce on me from the back and cling on to me literally..
we had station games again after that..
great fun.. got dirty AGAIN..
lol..
at night, after lights out, groupie met again but this time to listen to reupen's amazingly hilarious and spooky army stories..
his stories are horribly good i tell you..
and real too!
all first hand from him.
the next day.. we had to prepare for parent's night..
i was really stressed up la cause i had to work with a bunch of 12 p3 kids and (dunno whether to say fortunately or unfortunately) i got lucas.. who is really a handful.
there was no jiao dia whatsoever.. the story line came.. our group had to do day 6.. when god created man and animals.
suay suay we got unlce james who was so busy he didn't evn join us..
he didn't get any materials for us to make props or costumes either..
and i didn't know anything about it till the day itself.. so i was quite blah la..
then to make things worse, daphane, the only other person older than 9 years old in our group, had to leave for some class thing..
quite sad.
but still, she help gather the ppl and some other stuff..
thank her for that.
we got the kids to do their own costumes with newspaper..
the girls were great la.. they we really well behaved.. but the guys.. haha.. another story.
i had to help jia chen with his costume cause he was a dinosaur and i must say it turned out quite nicely. haha..
but then as a result, the other guys wandered off to use OUR newspaper to make whacko sticks.
how wonderful eh?
one of my favourites (lyon aka lion) was having a hard time deciding what animal to be.. he didn't wanna be a pig although a pig's mask was the easiest to make.. and because i called him lion, he didn't wanna be a lion either.
haha.. but in the end, cause of the lack of time, we made a lion's mask for him.
i really thank god for amos because amos was really a great help.
amos is the sec 4 guy btw.
he helped me out ALOT.
comfort the crying girl who lost her scotch tapoe.. organise the kids.. instruct them.. write a script.. i really couldn't have survived that without him..
haha..and this other favourite of mine, ryan, also helped me la..
he was quite good.. like lyon.
ryan had no problem with makeing his own costume..
he made kangaroo ears which were so thin that they flopped down.. like yavette's dog floppy.
haha.. then everytime i was about to lose control, i would look at him and his floppy kangaroo ears and start to laugh.. hahaha..
he's really THAT cute la.
parents' night turned out pretty well..

joanna and daniel too cause they were there for me and stuff as well.

supper was cool.. we had our very own barbeque in our little groups..
then john's debate team came as well.. ot that htey were parents.. but cause they had to prepare for the folowing day's debate.

but anyway, double As were allowed to stay up till two..

been watching ppl play since primary school and i still had no clue to what that game was abt la.
we ordered 20 pratas.. haha.. quite cool..
uncle weebeng went to bedok corner to get them for us.
so when the prata came, tze ern and i went up to look for dan and ryan who were playing truth or dare with some sec 1 girls upstairs.
lol.. reminded me of jyc.. ooh.. scandalous.
haha.
ryan was suppsed to choose between writing something with his butt or dancing just when ern and i entered.
haha..
so in the end, i got him to write jay jay the jet plane rocks.
haha.. forced him to do small letter j with the dot on top.
hahahaha... laughed like crazy la the lot of us.
took him ages to reach plane..
so we told him to stop after plane but to end with a fullstop.
then he didn't want so we told him exclaimation mark..
so he had to do fullstop lo..
haha.. farni la..
well, we had prata and chatted till 2 in the morning and went to sleep.
couldn't wake up the next day..
whahaha.. missed devotion.
aunty oh-na had to do devotion herself with the kids..
so ok lor.
well camp in all was realy fun la.. enjoyed myself A LOT.
must go again next year..
