today was super fun. other than morning's inter rels lesson ofcourse. haha.
i've been running, skipping, jumping, kicking and what not. i've been playing rugby with wallace and simeon the past two days.(including today)
it's really fun.. as in.. not exactly the sport.. but more of the people.
two of them are aboriginals.. (have i mentioned that?) yeah they taught me how to kick.
yup so we all played.. mostly guys(or gays. hah.) though.
well all that was after a great dinner. we had it outdoors at the bullpadock.
delicious.
the weather was good and all.
jason and the rest of us sat down together with some of the science people.
there are some from mjc.. but they don't know kin yew. the teachers do though.
anyway, after dinner was rugby and after rugby was
BUSH DANCING!!!!!
so much fun!!!
you'll never imagine how much fun it is okae..
we had it at the dining hall.
the tables and chairs were all pushed to the side, the lights were dim orange as usual, there was this folk band in front at the elevated area. we paired up and they taught us to dance. so fun.
i danced with two mentors. then some science people then fu aun and they stopped.
then they made us continue with the partner we were with (fu aun) but in lines.
so we clapped, stepped, spun and just danced away then the front couple of each row had to side skip through the row of people at the end of our turn in front. it was so so fun.
haha. i couldn't stop laughing.
i really dunno why mihail refused to dance la..
he said he didn't wanna embarrass himself. such a waste!
we learnt a few dances.
there was one where they had to have four together in a circle.
i was randomly picked to follow the mentors and the bush guy to do the trial dance.
and guess who my partner was..

hahahahhahahaha. how funny is that!?
it was so cool..
and funny too. lol.
like we danced the night away till about 9 plus.
we changed partners alot and they were random people.
which is good cause then we get to know more ppl
and that is good cause then you'd have more friends.
and having more friends is good cause it's nice?

haha.. simmy was so cute. cause when he was told to turn to his left, he didn't know where to go and lost his partner three times so i had to go find him.
as in cause there's a sequence.
so yeah. we had to switch to the right partners. haha.
his english's not really good see.
we had the makaroni dance as well.

cool. cause it really doesn't matter.
haha. great fun cause the whole hall jumped at the same time and you could feel the ground shake?
yup.
well after bush dancing (which was the bestest time ive ever ever ever had in my life..i think), i went out to the bull padock then joined the nan hua ppl who were sitting on the grass. chatting. then a few mnutes after that one of the guys.. i think it was fu aun.. he called me over cause wallace and simeon wanted to ask if i'd like to follow them for gelati. so i said yes of course and dragged sarah along.
haha. it's really nice to know that well like.. you're not just mixing with one group.. but that hey, other ppl, although they do not exactly speak a common language, still accept you and stuff? like there's no discrimmination or just keeping to themselves just because they are the different minority. like in the whole camp there are only two of them and the rest of us are either whites, yellows or indians. and one malay. azza. haha. yeah.
so sarah, wallace, fu aun, simeon and i followed wallace's "dad" out for gelati.
jake (that's his "dad") is camping with us or something i think. yeah. he's got a special swipe card that vincent or jk probably gave him so that he could take wallace and simmy out or something when they needed to.
well on the way to gelati, i was talking to jake alot. he's in his 20s.. early 20s i think.
he is actually half abo. which is cool.
he's all white actually.. can't tell that he's abo.
he told me that wallace calls him dad (in an abo language) because wallace's real dad is actually jake's "brother" (somehow) so wallace was given to jake to look after. the way he said it didn't seem like he had much of a choice. lol.
and if he was to marry, he'd have to marry someone with the right (as in correct) skin. it's really complex and weird because a skin seems like another name someone has.. maybe like a surname. but you see, wallace has a different skin from jake. and if jake were to marry a woman of the right skin, his child's skin would be the same that of wallace.
i have no idea why. maybe it's because since wallace is his son, then his other son (the real on) has to also be of the same skin.
complex. you can forget it.
they live in a campervan kinda place ause the place where they live is really deep down in the bush.
jake's actually born in canberra but then after that he moved back to the bush.
oh you must be wondering why then, ifa man had to marry a oman of the right skin, how could jake's mum be a white rite?
because whites have no skin name. and a man, theoratically would not be able to marry her because she doesn't even have a skin name.
the thing is, that jake's dad was a stolen generation. like he was stolen buy the whites when he was really small and brought up as a white. so he grew up and married a white who gave birth to jake.
oh by the way, although they wear normal clotes, they still do hunting.. like buffalos)
yup.. on the way back, simmy was trying to teach me kraiol.. his native language.
bu to fcourse i can't remember them now.
im really tred. gonna bed now. sorry..
